Banners – What do these online marketing tools have to offer you?
Online advertising continues to triumph over offline advertising. Although advertisers realize that both platforms are indispensable for brand building and increasing brand visibility, internet marketing simply goes beyond the boundaries of offline advertising methods. Crossing these boundaries is good for advertisers, but also has its perks for those who don’t advertise (yet), like you.
In our previous post about visual communication with Instant Ad Lite, we already mentioned it: internet marketing is more targeted than traditional marketing, it can be easily adapted, it is interactive … These factors make online marketing highly appealing to advertisers, which is also why we offer them a wide variety of online advertising methods through our Business Centre.
Our advertisers nevertheless realize that internet marketing is much more than the abovementioned advantages. For them, internet marketing is also another way to communicate with you, the internet user.
Look beyond the click.
What are our advertisers trying to tell you with their banners?
What do these online marketing tools have to offer you?
Below is part two on the advantages of online advertising for you. (Missed part one?)
Banners are easy and quick to replace.
→ This means that advertisers can and will often use banners to advertise great deals or discounts! Because of the limited duration of an online advertisement or banner – as opposed to a printed add – both advertisers and users can act and react accordingly.
Banners are put where interested internet users are expected.
→ Advertisers can never know with certainty whether or not you’d be interested in their product, but they can make an educated guess and avoid boring you unnecessarily. Consequently, you won’t come across banners advertising kitchens on a weather site such as weather.com but rather banners advertising sunny holiday spots or mobile homes.
→On our own site goldenpages.be banners are put in the section they relate to. For instance: banners of companies specialized in heating will appear in the section “Building & Living”; banners of shoe stores will appear in the section “Shopping” etc.
Banners are advertisement for every hour of the day.
→The internet doesn’t have opening hours: it’s open 24/7, 365 days of the year for you to peruse. No matter the time of day, the banners of our advertisers take you to their website or product page with detailed information about the promotion or deal, to ensure that you are provided with the right service at ALL TIMES.
The advantages of other types of banners (such as banners for your smartphone) will be discussed in coming posts. Before we get started, we would like to know your opinion.
